Hard Core

Dear female bearer of the world,
Why carry a load so heavy?
Your skin so tough,
Your feet so rough.

Why offer yourself as sacrifice?
Your heart strained,
Your ankles chained,
Yet stature still strong;

You heed to every call,
And bleed while you crawl
That is ingrained in your being,
And pained is your kneeing.

Take a deep breath, pick yourself up,
Tenderness is good for us
Keep moving heaven and earth,
Your commitment has immeasurable worth!

This is a memorandum to you
From, a fellow bearer of the world
